A word about drums and bass

The KEF Q750 floorstanding tower speakers are designed to accurately reproduce the nuanced sounds of bass instruments. With a larger roll surround and improved suspension, these speakers deliver cleaner bass even at high volumes. Additionally, the speakers feature a new cone structure that enhances midrange clarity and an enhanced Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR) with an upgraded surround and rear suspension for improved bass quality.

"Sit anywhere" Uni-Q sound

One of the key features of the KEF Q750 speakers is the Uni-Q driver array, which positions the tweeter in the middle of the midrange and bass cone. This innovative design brings the acoustic ideal of a single point source closer than ever before. To further enhance sound accuracy, KEF has incorporated their ‘tangerine’ waveguide technology over the tweeter. With the KEF Q750 floorstanding tower speakers, you can enjoy a more precise and immersive audio experience no matter where you sit in your room.

Tweaking the tweeter

The KEF Q750 floorstanding tower speakers have been enhanced with the addition of a damped tweeter loading tube. This feature ensures a smooth termination of sound produced from the back of the tweeter, resulting in a significant improvement in lower treble performance. Additionally, these speakers now come equipped with a new low-distortion inductor on the crossover, which contributes to cleaner bass reproduction.

New system design

One of the notable upgrades made to the KEF Q750 is the placement of the Uni-Q driver in its own sealed cabinet. This design choice reduces strain on the cone, leading to increased clarity and detail in audio output. Furthermore, this configuration allows for cleaner bass delivery. Furthermore, improvements have been made to enhance midrange clarity. These enhancements have eliminated the need for a DC blocking capacitor in the crossover, resulting in a more natural roll-off between drivers. This change allows for a more seamless transition between different frequency ranges.
